A new kit is soon to be released for the hi performance & beautiful “Nemere” sailplane.
It was designed by Lajos Rotter in Hungary for the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin.
Rotter intended for the sailplane to be aerobatic as well as a superior cross-country
aircraft. The wing was stressed for 12G instead of the usual 8G. It incorporated ailerons
which could be dropped or raised as flaps to widen the speed range.
As a testament to it’s beauty. Martin Simons chose this design for the cover
picture on his book “Vintage Sailplane 1908-45”
The new kit will be 25% scale. With a 20 meter wing span the model will have a span
of 5 meters or 16ft 3in. A second kit will follow for a 35% scale model of 7 meters or
almost 23 ft span.
Construction plans for the model are nearly finished. We will update you when the
prototype model has been completed. This will allow for any errors or glitches to be
corrected.
Photos of the prototype model under construction will be posted during the progress
prices for the kit have yet to be determined
